- ISPWA actuator is used to feed needles to a cutting wheel so they can be cut to length

- RCAW actuator is used as an elevator to raise and lower the cutting wheel at a constant low speed

- Traditionally, the needles were fed by using an air cylinder and a hydraulic cylinder was used to actuate the cutting wheel

The following advantages are achieved by using the electric actuators:

1. The setup is easy to change

2. Better speed control in raising and lowering of the cutting wheel achieves better accuracy and results in an improvement of the quality of the cut surface
