Are you new to IAI products? The new revolutionary MEC controller is designed with easy operation in mind. Get setup and running in record time with the intuitive user panel of the MEC controller. Acceleration and speed can easily be adjusted by a turn of the knob, no need to flip through pages and pages of the manual!

Affordable

The PMEC includes the controller, power supply, acceleration/speed change function, PC connection cable and all other standard accessories all at an affordable price.

Easily Replace Your Air Cylinder System

MEC controllers can be operated using the exact same signals normally used to operate air cylinders. This means you can use the same PLC programs currently using.

Push-motion Operation/Intermediate Stopping

Push-motion operation can be performed just like you do with air cylinders.

You can also use the MEC PC software to change the standard settings so that the actuator will stop at a desired intermediate point between the home and stroke end.

You can use the MEC PC software and touch-panel teaching pendant CON-PT to stop the actuator at three points, as well as at two points or perform push-motion operation.

1. Space-saving

The new Mini ROBO Cylinder have achieved compact sizes by incorporating a newly developed motor and significantly reduces overall length, width and height. Systems that could only use air cylinders due to sizing constraints can now use Mini ROBO Cylinders to improve performance.

2. Shaped and handled easily like air cylinders

The new Mini ROBO Cylinders are available in the same shapes as air cylinders. Users who are comfortable with the handling and operation of air cylinder can switch to motorized cylinders effortlessly.

3. Wide variations

You can select the model that best suits your specific application from the wide variation of electric actuators. Variations include slider type, rod type, table top and linear servo type.

Mini Slider Type

The slider on the body moves back and forth to perform positioning.

Features:

• The coupled motor can be changed with ease
• The straight type and motor reversed type are available

Application:

• Moving/carrying parts

Mini Rod Type

The rod extends and contracts to perform positioning and push-motion operation.

Features:

• The slim and short type have significantly reduced overall length
• The guide type with a built-in guide for enhanced rigidity and linearity and the non-guided type are substantially smaller. The non-guided types accept external guide(s).

Application:

• Moving parts, push, clamping, etc.

Mini Table Type

The table on the body slides to perform positioning.

Features:

• The built-in guide allows an overhang load to be received
• The short type with a compact body and the coupled motor type with long strokes are available

Application:

• Moving parts, part transport, horizontal move, push-motion. (Overhang mounting from the body is also possible)

Small Linear Servo Type

Light parts can be transferred at high speed.

Features:

• The linear motor achieves high-speed, high-acceleration/deceleration movements at a maximum of 2G
• The slider type and rod type are available. The slider type comes in six types having different sizes and strokes
• The multi-slider type lets you install two sliders on one axis and operate them independently

Application:

• Transfer applications where minimal cycle times are required.

The Mini ROBO Cylinder® 3D CAD files are now available at CADENAS

1. Long Stroke of up to 100mm

With the long stroke of the RCP2-GRST, handle many parts of different sizes and shapes. Choose between strokes of 40mm/60mm/80mm/100mm.

2. High Gripping Force of up to 40N

The gripping force of the standard type is twice the force capable of the GRS type.

3. By Increasing the Opening/Closing Speed, Achieve High-Speed Operation

Choose between the high-speed type (75mm/s) and the standard type (34mm/s).

4. Cable Exit Option

The cable exit option offered on the RCP2-GRST allows the choice between bottom or side exit.

The LSA series now offers long stroke in a compact package.

• LSA-N10 – Max Stroke – 4,100mm
• LSA-N15 – Max Stroke – 4,150mm

2. High Payload Capacity

The newly developed linear servo motor with a flat core achieves a maximum payload capacity of 30kg.

• LSA-N10 – Max Payload – 15kg
• LSA-N15 – Max Payload – 30kg

3. High-Speed Operation at Accelerations up to 3G and Operating Speeds of up to 2,500mm/s with a Positioning Repeatability of ±5 microns

The linear servo motor does not have the inherent speed limitations of a ball screw and is able to achieve speeds of up to 3G and acceleration of 2,500mm/sec at a positioning repeatability of ±5 microns (±0.005mm)
