ZR Unit with a Long Stroke Gripper Video

This display unit combines the ZR unit and long-stroke gripper to transfer work parts of different sizes.

The ZR unit is a compact unit, combining the vertical axis and the rotational axis into one. Also, the Cartesian robot is used to perform movement in the X-Y direction.

The range of operation can be set larger than that of a comparable SCARA robot by increasing the X-Y stroke.

The long-stroke gripper can grip work parts of all sizes, so it can meet your needs for all types of work parts.


Micro Cylinder Electric Actuator Video

This display unit consists of a combination unit having two ROBO Cylinder® slider axes, and a micro-cylinder constituted by a slim small ROBO Cylinder®.

The two slider axes are high acceleration / deceleration models in the RCA series, capable of operating at accelerations / decelerations of up to 1G instead of the normal 0.3G level.

The slim, small ROBO Cylinder® is a micro-cylinder having a very compact size of just 16mm in outer dimension. It can be used to perform positioning operation or push-motion operation in narrow spaces.

Air Cylinder and ROBO Cylinder Comparison Video

These display units are presented to show you a comparison of energy consumption between a ROBO Cylinder® and air cylinder. The results are shown on the touch panel.

The display shows the electricity costs and CO2 emissions while the cylinders are operating.

Electricity bills, CO2 emissions were calculated based on ROBO Cylinder’s power consumption and the measured flow rate of compressed air consumed by the air cylinder. The results are shown on the touch panel.

According to this comparison, ROBO Cylinder’s energy consumption falls to about one-fifth the levels of the air cylinder. You can cut CO2 emissions and running cost by more than 80%.

We can also compare the degrees of vibration of the weights on springs, showing the difference between the levels of impact generating at the end of the stroke on both cylinders.


Ultra Compact SCARA Robot with Mini Electric Gripper

This display unit is a ROBO Cylinder® + compact electric gripper installed on a small SCARA robot, used to move work parts between the slide table and index table.

This gripper, weighing just 200 g, provides a stroke as long as 8 mm despite its compact body and also produces a high gripping force of up to 14 N.

You can also design the gripping mechanism as you like by selecting a lever type, instead of the slide type as shown here.
